Cookiebot is one of the best-known names in cookie banners, and it is now part of Usercentrics. If you have looked at it and found the pricing confusing, this page is for you.
The main difference is how you get charged
Cookiebot's price goes up with the number of pages on your site. Their entry plan covers up to 50 pages. After that you move to €15, then €30, then €50, then €90 a month, depending on how big your site is.
That works fine if your site is a handful of pages. If you write a blog, run a shop, or have a few hundred product pages, you can find yourself paying for a plan sized around your page count rather than around your visitors.
We charge one flat price. A five-page site and a five-hundred-page site pay the same €3.90 a month.
Where Cookiebot is the better choice
One situation, honestly.
You need audit logging or multi-jurisdiction geo-targeting. Cookiebot records every consent and lets you download the log as documentation, and it can serve a separate banner per legislation for visitors in different regions. That is what an organisation with a compliance officer asks for, and it is where Cookiebot and the other enterprise vendors are genuinely strong. We do not build in that direction, and at €3.90 a month we are not going to pretend otherwise.
Where we tend to suit people better
If you run a normal business website and want a banner that looks like your site, works properly, and costs the same every month regardless of how much you publish. That is what we built.
Our Pro plan at €6.90 a month adds a wildcard domain, so every subdomain is covered by one licence rather than one licence each.
What is the same
Both handle Google Consent Mode v2, and both are cookie notices in the proper sense: refusing actually stops things running, and the choice is remembered.
That part is table stakes. Anything that does not do it is not really a cookie notice, whoever sells it.
